Presco falls sharply in today’s trading session

The Nigerian Stock Exchange declined for the second day trading day this week. The All Share Index ended today’s trading session at 31,082.32 basis points.

Year to date, the index has continued to decline, falling below the 1% mark. 

Top Gainers and Losers 

Mc Nichols Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock appreciated by 10% to close at N0.66. First Aluminum is next appreciating by 7.14% to close at N0.30. FCMB rounds up the top three gainers for the day. The stock gained 6.67% to close at N1.92.  

On the flip side, agri giant Presco was the worst performing stock today. The stock shed 9.33% to close at n68. GSK Consumer Nigeria shed 9.09% to close at N10.50.  

Top Trades by Volume  

Access Bank was the most actively traded stock today. 84.6 million shares valued at N500 million were traded in 712 deals.  UBA was next with 40.9 million shares valued at N307 million traded in 380 deals.

Zenith Bank rounds up the top three most actively traded with 22.1 million shares valued at N482 million traded in 361 deals.
