It is pertinent to state that I will no longer accept the claim that either APC, PDP, or any other political party is the cause our problems; we, the citizens, are certainly our own problem.
Until we decide to own this country and resolve to make it better, our present situation will always be better, because things will continue to worsen.
If we refuse to see our problems as collective rather than regional or ethnic, we will continue to move in circles.
The bulb which was supposed to brighten our path at the end of the tunnel has been stolen and we are busy blaming and fighting each other rather than looking for a way to replace it.
Our tolerance for our leaders has turned us into a laughing stock in Africa and beyond. We allow our leaders use the tool of ethnicity or religion to divide us to their own benefits; it’s a big shame on us. As Chukwumerije Dike said “No culture is older than been human.”
Let us all come together; Hausas, Igbos and Yorubas alike, setting our differences aside, with a determination to make this nati on work. This country can be great if only we believe in it.
LET US HARNESS THE POWER OF OUR HUMANITY
