Liverpool Resigned To Loosing Coutinho

Have Liverpool finally conceded defeat in their bid to hold on to Philippe Coutinho? According to recent reports, indeed they have. The Reds are willing to accept an offer of €145m for the Brazilian, with a January transfer now looking likely.

Coutinho’s price tag is still more than Barca had hoped to pay, but the Catalan giants are prepared to free up the budget by selling fringe players such as Arda Turan.

Coutinho is supposedly desperate for the move to happen, despite being cup-tied in the Champions League following his participation for Liverpool.

But Jurgen Klopp poured cold water on the reports out of Spain on Friday, saying: “Named a price? Interesting,” when asked about a move for Coutinho. “There is absolutely nothing to say about this. Of course, Phil is still essential for us.”
