Jay-Z has his own way to celebrate his daughter Blue Ivy’s sixth birthday. The “Family Feud” rapper unveiled on Sunday, January 7 an animated music video for “Blue’s Freestyle”, which is the bonus track off his latest album “4:44 “. The playful visuals, which was directed and animated by Maurice Taylor, takes place at a talent show in Taylor Hall, where Blue is seen donning a tutu and ballet slippers for her recital. Classic ballet music plays in the background as she makes her way to the stage and starts dancing normally. However, Blue suddenly grabs a mic and starts rapping, shocking the audience.
“Everything everything this my only single thing/ Everything I hear is my answer/ And if you think I say, then innocent if I say?” she adorably rhymes. “I never hear that, I be in the posse/ Never seen a ceiling in my whole life/ Everything I seen, everything is rotten.”
Viewers also get to see Jay-Z and wife Beyonce Knowles on the clip, looking momentarily shocked at their daughter. When they realize that Blue is having fun showing off her rapping skill, the couple smiles and bobs their head with joy and pride for their oldest daughter. Blue’s siblings, Sir and Rumi, also make a cameo appearance on the visuals, cheering for their sister from the crib.
