Thierry Henry has hailed the current Manchester City team as ‘unbelievable’. The Arsenal legend said he loves watching Pep Guardiola’s side play and the performances they are producing right now should earn them the admiration of all football fans. City are eight points clear at the top of the Premier League having won 13 successive games and will make top-flight history if they beat rivals Manchester United on Sunday.
“That team is unbelievable,” said Henry, who will be a pundit for Sky Sports for the Manchester derby at Old Trafford. “I know how hard it is to go out there and perform every weekend, or every three days if you bring the Champions League into it, and play well and entertain people and stay in your position and pass the ball. “They always play in your half, which is way more difficult. It demands more intensity.
“I respect that team so much. If you don’t like how City play, you don’t like football.”
Guardiola has had a huge transfer kitty to strengthen the City squad since his arrival at the club in 2016, but Henry insists their success this season is not down to money. The Frenchman played under Guardiola at Barcelona for two years, winning a host of major trophies, and has hailed his coaching methods as revolutionary.
