Evans race hots up

Manchester City were shock suitors for Jonny Evans last summer and there are reports there could be more interest in the West Brom stalwart in January from Everton and West Ham.

Sam Allardyce and David Moyes both see Evans as a key part of their rebuilding projects, though Guardiola may also reignite interest after John Stones’ injury.

The Northern Ireland international will be forced into a tough decision with the lure of trophies at the Etihad or guaranteed game time with the Hammers or Toffees.

Newly arrived WBA boss Alan Pardew will be desperate to hold on to the 29-year-old in the Baggies’ battle to beat the drop, meaning Evans will likely be an expensive mid-season signing
