Fatima, one of the daughters of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has explained why she has not followed her father to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had over a week ago resigned his membership of the ruling APC before finally returning to the PDP last weekend.
But his 45-year-old daughter, who is a serving Commissioner of Health in Adamawa said on Wednesday, that she is still preoccupied with her services to the state under the ruling party. According to her, “I have not resigned and I am performing my duties as the representative of H.E the governor on all health matters in the state.”
She was appointed commissioner in August 2015. Earlier, the Governor of the state, Jibrilla Bindow had stated he had no plans to follow former Vice President out of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. The Adamawa governor said his relationship with the former Vice President would remain cordial and mutually beneficial despite his resignation from the APC.
