Manchester City could swap Sergio Aguero for Antoine Griezmann as Atletico Madrid ‘sound out’ the Premier League striker over a move, according to The Sun. Aguero, 29, has been a huge hit at the Etihad Stadium since joining from Atleti in 2011, scoring 192 goals in 281 games and becoming the club’s leading all-time goalscorer. But his former employers are keen to bring him back to the club and pair him with Diego Costa.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants to retain the services of Aguero but it appears he may be tempted to hand over the Argentine if can get France international Griezmann in return. Guardiola is keen on the player, who has an £85million release clause, after watching him on several occasions, meaning there is interest in the deal on both sides. Whether it moves further done the line is another matter.
