Chelsea have agreed an £18million fee for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, according to reports. The Blues have been on the lookout for attacking reinforcements this month and look to have landed a key target, following a day of talks with the Gunners. There are report Giroud’s move will help to complete two other transfers, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Michy Batshuayi set to complete their respective permanent and loan moves.
Aubameyang visited Arsenal’s training ground on Tuesday afternoon ahead of completing his £60m move to the Emirates Stadium. The Gabon international’s transfer depends on his current club, Borussia Dortmund, finding a replacement for their outgoing star. And with Giroud heading to Stamford Bridge, the Blues are set to allow Batshuayi to leave the club on loan to the Bundesliga outfit. Chelsea had been considering a move for Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente but were reportedly quoted £25m for the 32-year-old.
