Blues miss opportunity to go top ahead of Manchester derby

Chelsea drew a blank at home for the first time under Maurizio Sarri as Everton held them to a goalless draw on Sunday. The Blues missed the opportunity to go top of the Premier League table ahead of the Manchester derby after spurning a number of glorious second-half chances.

Willian and Eden Hazard both fired wide with only Jordan Pickford to beat, while Everton winger Bernard fluffed his lines in front of goal at the other end.

Blues boss Sarri, however, sets a new record for the most games unbeaten by any new manager in Premier League history as Chelsea stretched their run to 12.
