The immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, lost out on the President Buhari’s ministerial list just read on the Floor of the Senate in Abuja. This is against widespread speculation that the former Governor had been rewarded with a ministerial appointment after losing the bid to be governor for the second term.
Meanwhile, his predecessor, Babatunde Raji Fashola made the list for the second time in a row. Other prominent personalities that missed out in the ministerial list are:
Solomon Dalung (former Minister for Youth and Sport);
Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (former Minister of Interior); and
Adebayo Shittu (former Minister for Communications).
