Ekubo calls out Nigerian govt over Deborah’s murder

Nollywood actor and model, Alexx Ekubo, has lent his voice against the gruesome killing of Deborah Samuel, a 200 L student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto.

Deborah was stoned to death and set on fire by fellow students who accused her of posting “blasphemous” statements in her class WhatsApp group.

Ekubo in his reaction to the barbaric act called on the Nigerian government to do the needful and put behind bars the perpetrators of such evil act.

He also said the evil act should be outrightly condemned and not in a lukewarm manner as displayed in some quarters.
In a post on his Instagram page where he shared screenshots of tweets he shared on the sad event, Ekubo lamented that Nigeria has continued to fail Nigerians, especially the youths.

He wrote, “Nigeria continues to fail Nigerians, especially the youth, I’ve never seen a mother who is hell bend on devouring her offsprings.

Nigerian Government your silence is loud. 🇳🇬 💔

ALL PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANTS, WE ARE WAITING TO HEAR FROM YOU TOO
WE EXPECT OUTRIGHT CONDEMNATION OF THE INHUMANE ACT, WE DON’T WANT ANY LUKEWARM ON THE FENCE RESPONSE, SAVE IT FOR YOUR DINNER CONVERSATION.”
