Chelsea kicked off campaign for a premier league trophy on Saturday with a 3-0 thrashing of hapless Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
The homers dominated play and were reward on 27 minutes when Marcos Alonso curled in a superb free-kick.
Alonso struck with a perfectly taken free kick from the edge of the box. He curled the ball straight into the top right corner.
Christian Pulisic added a second goal for Chelsea on 40 minutes.
He was the first to get to a rebound inside the penalty area and his weak, but precise effort found its way into the back of the net, bouncing in off the crossbar.
Wilfried Zaha missed a good chance to score for Palace on 54 minutes.
An inch-perfect cross into the box found Zaha who rose for a header, but sent the ball well over the bar.
The home side completed their rout of Palance, with a third goal from Trevoh Chalobah.
Chalobah produced a wonderful finish! He received a pass from Mateo Kovacic and unleashed a fantastic long-range strike into the bottom left corner via the post.
