President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met with All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and stakeholders from Benue State.
The meeting, which held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, had the former Benue State Governor, Senator George Akume, the Benue APC governorship candidate, Emmanuel Jime, and Paul Unongo in attendance.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, in a tweet on his Twitter page, disclosed that Sen. Akume, during the meeting, endorsed Buhari for second term in 2019.
The tweet read: “Sen George Akume to Buhari: The endorsement of Mr President by the majority of our people, especially the poor ones, is the real endorsement…In Benue, the narrative has changed.”
The APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh and the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, were also part of the meeting.
