The Director of Media for the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Festus Keyamo, has berated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for saying the All Progressives Congress, APC, was doomed, following the adoption of President Muhammadu Buhari as its sole Presidential candidate.
PDP had on Thursday said with the emergence of Buhari as a sole Presidential candidate “APC is now irredeemably doomed for a crushing defeat in the 2019 general elections.”
PDP also alleged that Buhari had suppressed internal democracy in the APC.
But, Keyamo berated the opposition party for the claim, noting that PDP only “exists on Twitter and Whatsapp.”
In a statement he signed, the Senior lawyer stressed that PDP’s claim of Buhari suppressing democracy was a figment of their imagination.
Keyamo insisted that the APC was not doomed, stressing that PDP which existed only on Twitter and Whatsapp, was the one winding up.
He said, “As of today, the PDP only exists on Twitter and Whatsapp. The APC is not doomed; rather, it is the PDP that is winding up.
“The solution to a problem cannot be to go back to the people who caused the problem.”
