Acho Ihim, the Speaker of Imo state of House of Assembly, has been picked as the deputy governorship candidate of Action Alliance, AA, in the state.
The speaker will deputized the AA governorship candidate and Governor Rochas Okorocha’s in-law, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu.
Recall that Nwosu alongside 18 members of Imo House of Assembly denounced their membership of the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party respectively to the Action Alliance,AA.
Confirming the development to DAILY POST on Sunday in a phone interview, Ihim expressed optimism that Nwosu will win the upcoming 2019 gubernatorial election in Imo in a landslide.
He said, “Yes, I am the deputy governorship candidate of Action Alliance,(AA). We will win in 2019, because Ugwumba Uche Nwosu is on ground.
” Eighteen members of APC in the state have also defected to AA. We will win. We have the structures. 27 of the local government chairman also defected to AA. The 646 councilors of Imo state are AA members.
“So, we are the party to watch. We will in a landslide”.
