Alvaro Morata could leave Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to reports. Despite a positive start, the former Real Madrid striker has generally struggled since moving to London, and has fallen behind Olivier Giroud in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
According to The Sun, Maurizio Sarri could be prepared to let Morata leave the Blues as early as January, having assessed his striking opti0ns. A return to former club Juventus could be on the cards for Morata, who has scored just once this season. Morata spent two seasons with Juventus between 2014 and 2016, winning Serie A twice, and he could return to Turin if he is frozen out under Sarri. The coach is reportedly concerned by his pressing style as well as his lack of goals.
Morata has already admitted that he considered leaving Chelsea in the summer, and a further lack of playing time may force him to reconsider his options when the January transfer window opens.
