Aaron Ramsey snubbed Arsenal manager Unai Emery as he left the fieldagainst Watford. The Welshman appears set for the exit at the Emirates after the Gunners withdrew their offer of a new contract.
Emery had told the midfielder to “prove his worth” this week but when it came to the match he put in a poor showing and was hauled off after just 63 minutes. And when Ramsey, who saw Alex Iwobi replace him, wandered passed his boss he shook his head and kept his eyes focused on the floor, while the Spaniard gave him a pat on the back.
The 27-year-old’s misery was compounded as Iwobi was far more effective, crossing for the Gunners’ opening goal in the 2-0 victory, with the pull-back knock into his own goal by Craig Cathcart. But Ramsey did applaud his team-mates as they earned all three points.
